its absolutely beautiful, I always feel bad when people come to oahu and only stay in Waikiki or somewhere like that where you really dont get the real feel for the island.. if you visit make sure you make a local friend to take you exploring around the island :)
not a stupid question at all. I actually live on the other side of the island, just spend most of my time on the north shore. The north shore is super close knit, most people up there know each other or have at least seen each other around. Personally iv never met john john, some of my friends know him and grew up with him.. Iv cruised with his brother nathan florence a couple times but i really dont know him well, he just cruises with some of the people I do.
unfortunately way to many people have figured that out :( keiki gets pretty crowded now but its still amazing! just park on the side of the road and walk in
